COVID-19 Update

WE ARE OPEN!

As you are aware, the COVID-19 pandemic is an ever evolving situation.  We are checking daily on the updates from the Department of Health and the Australian Physiotherapy Association to ensure that we follow their guidelines for the safety of our patients.   Physiotherapy is classified as an "Essential Service" and as such, we will remain open throughout any COVID-19 lockdowns.

Our infection control procedures were already in line with the current recommendations, but we will be taking additional sanitation precautions above and beyond the recommendations, in order to be extra cautious.   All contact surfaces are cleaned between every patient's appointment.  Our clinic is a small and very quiet office, with a maximum of one client in the waiting room.

As of 28th February 2022, masks are still required when visiting health services according to NSW Health regulations.  As such, we ask that you wear a mask to your appointment - we will have masks available at the front desk for patient's convenience.

In order to protect the general community and our population of vulnerable patients, who are often older, pregnant or parents of infants, we ask that our patients please inform us:

- If you have any symptoms of fever, cough, flu-like symptoms or shortness of breath.

- If you have been in contact with a person with COVID-19, with symptoms of it or who has been at a COVID-19 hot-spot.

In the above circumstance, we will postpone your appointment until safe, and cancellation fees will be waived.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns or questions, and please be assured that we will be taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our patients and the community.

Telehealth Now Available

For those that need or prefer to self-isolate at home during the COVID-19 pandemic, we now offer Telehealth services.  This is like a standard physiotherapy appointment, but conducted by secure Teleconference link.  You don't need any fancy technology or to be particularly tech-savvy - this service will work with any smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer.  There is no need to install any special software on your device.

Just book and pay online via the BOOK ONLINE tab above, and you will be sent an email containing your Telehealth link.  Click on this link at the time of your appointment and you will see your physiotherapist on the screen ready to start your appointment.

We recommend that you wear comfortable clothing and clear a small space on the floor around you, as we will probably ask you to stand up and practice some movements and exercises with us during the appointment.

At this time, some Private Health Funds will provide a rebate for Telehealth sessions.  We recommend that you call your health fund to check if this is a concern for you.  If you have a Medicare Care Plan (or EPC form) which allows you to claim 5 physiotherapy rebates per year, you can use these for in-person or Telehealth appointments.  For in-person appointments, you will pay the normal fee up-front and we will arrange your Medicare rebate of $54.60.  Telehealth appointments will be bulk-billed if you have a Medicare Care Plan.

Please feel free to give us a call or email us, if you would like to ask any questions about Telehealth.  You can also learn more in the video below.
